Research & Innovation
This space showcases some of my research-driven pursuits, exploring innovative ways to tackle complex and emerging challenges with community engagement, interactive workshops and novel public exhibitons.
Longevity Home
Part of the team to ideate and redesign Social Housing Experience as a novel "Longevity Home" - a living innovation space that showcases technologies supporting longer, healthier, more independent lives. The aim is to engage residents, families, care professionals, and businesses in exploring how innovative technologies can improve daily lives. The key themes that emerged out of the discussions were enabling multimodal accessibility, data-driven insights, predictive analytics, and personalised outreach.

Reimagining the Future of Tourism Services
Led a series of workshops with citizens and business stakeholders to challenge & reimagine Tourism Services with AI and immersive technologies. I planned the entire workshop and designed the materials, co-creation activities, strategic game and facilitator guides to spark collaboration between citizens and businesses. The output report articulated new opportunities and recommendations for businesses to scale and innovate that align with citizen needs. This was implemented in the new Tourism Strategy in partnership with Nexus and Go North East.

Infuriating Objects
A series of co-creation workshops with community aimed to challenge and rethink the poor design of everyday 'Infuriating Objects'. For the outcome, I designed an interactive exhibition space showcasing the collection of redesigned objects and activities to engage visitors in important questions around accessibility and share their lived experiences.

Community Toolbox
Part of the team to ideate and run this novel participatory research 'Community Toolbox Project' that provided North East England residents free training and access to innovative technologies so that they can explore and uncover valuable insights about health & wellbeing of themselves, their pets, and their surroundings. We aimed to lower barriers to new technologies and gathered qualitative insights on how they can enhance longevity as a whole.
